Click on FALL 2012 APPLIED CALCULUS UPDATE PAGE to see what we did in that semester. Since the syllabus and textbook are the same, it will give you a good place to see what your quizzes and tests will look like. I recommend trying the problems first before looking at solution.
Another good practice is to try the example problems in book for a little while and then look at how it has been done (instead of reading both the problem and the solution in one reading).
I will also be posting practice problems on WEBWORK.

(Highly recommend you use Excel or similar program to do this)
Calculate the area under the hyperbola xy=1 from x=1 to x=10.
Use left end-point approximation using 10 rectangles, 20 rectangles, etc.,
until the difference from actual area is less than 10 percent.

Any previously permitted make-up quizzes and tests should be taken by April 14.
No make-ups will be given after that.
If you are doing well, keep it up but remember GRADE DROPS AFTER FINAL for most students.
The reason is that majority of students find it hard to get even a C on final, for various reasons.
So If you want an A in final, you need to have close to or more than 100% before final, and so on.
