1. Talitha Washington appointed Director of new
center
Congratulations to Talitha
Washington on her appointment as the director of the Atlanta University Center
Consortium Data Science Initiative. In this role she would be working to
increase the number of underrepresented minorities in data science and
analytics.

2. Aziz Yakubu published “Ebola
outbreaks and international travel restrictions: Case studies of Central and West
Africa regions” in the June 2020 issue of the Journal of Biological Systems,
with Nourridine Siewe and Suzanne Lenhart.
