Analysis and Differential Equations On Separable Banach Spaces (New Seminar Series)

About the series: This series will discuss a new constructive approach to analysis on separable Banach spaces.

The key idea is to first show that any separable Banach space can be continuously embedded in a separable Hilbert space.

for Graduate Students will take place at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, between July 14-24, 2019.  The workshop is sponsored by the Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute (SAMSI) along with the Center for Research in Scientific Computation (CRSC), and the Dept. of Mathematics at North Carolina State University. 

 

The official application deadline is April 15, 2019, but full consideration will be given to all applications received prior to April 30, 2019.

UC Berkeley cutting program with Elsevier for journal publishing and access expected to bring big changes to this field.

 

 

2. Talk at JMM 2019 about history of Black mathematics

 

The New York Times recently ran an article centered on this talk and the work of our friend and NAM President Edray Goins to increase the number of black Ph.Ds at the top levels of mathematics research.
