A poem that just arose in my mind....Or just some thoughts in words...6/3/2012

                Let the waves roll by

The longer I stand on the shores of life
The deeper the waters washing over me.
Wave after wave.
Issues, problems, deadlines, worries...

For once out of sheer fatigue
I stop thrashing about.
Just lie still on the ocean
And let the waves roll by.

Now I can breathe,
Enjoy the clear summer sky.
Watch the gulls fly.

They will always be.
They do not worry
Whether or not the world will exist tomorrow.

Enjoy the day,
And the waters sloshing around you.
Just let the waves roll by.
