MEDITATION SCHEDULE

I am now certified to teach meditation and mindfulness to students at Howard through the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults (formerly Koru Institute).
NEXT CLASS: (four meetings only) MIEA Basic class starting September 17, 2024.
Just four classes total: 6:15 to 7:30pm.
Registration website.
In case of trouble registering or if you cannot pay the $ 4 app fee, contact me (Sankar Sitaraman) at ssitaraman AT howard.edu (NOT BISON.HOWARD!).

--> My first class was an unofficial, online class titled Koru Basic starting July 13 and ending August 3 of 2021.
Koru Basic is for beginners, and would help you to learn to manage stress, deal with difficult situations, develop calmness and concentration, and finally, compassion for yourself and others.
There are no exams or grades and only four classes but you have to attend all four.
The second Basic class was on Sep 21, 28, Oct 5 and 12 of 2021.
The third Basic class was on Jan 25, Feb 1, Feb 8, and Feb 15 of 2022.
We also had classes in 2022, 2023 academic years and spring of 2024.
A handout from the previous class outlining some key things to know about meditation.
Another handout with resources for continuing meditation practice after completing the Koru Basic class.
